Kugelblitz began in 2019, when Shubhi Sagar was studying design at NIFT Shillong and noticed what jewelry actually does. It isn't decoration — it's composure. The right piece lets you walk into a full room and speak.
That observation became the house philosophy, and the house grew from a one-woman practice into a team of three in Delhi, with pieces now worn from the United Kingdom to Spain to right here at home.
Luxury is not lavish. It is confidence. Most of what the jewelry trade sells as luxury is really just markup with a story attached — a piece worth sixty dollars in metal and labour, priced at four hundred because the box is heavy and the shop has a doorman.
We think the opposite is more impressive: a piece you can wear every day, made properly, priced in a way you can check line by line. That is why every product on this site carries its Open Ledger — the metal at the day's rate, the bench time, the plating, the freight, and our margin as the last line, where you can see it. When silver moves, our margin moves. Your trust doesn't have to.
Everything starts as 925 sterling silver — nickel-free, with an assay record kept on file for each batch. Pieces we call 18k vermeil are that sterling base under a gold layer at least 2.5 microns thick, which is the legal threshold for the word. We use the word carefully, because it means something specific, and because the alternative is calling plated silver “gold” and hoping you don't look closely.
Pieces are made to order at our bench in Delhi rather than stockpiled — it keeps the range small, the quality checkable, and nothing sits in a warehouse tarnishing. That's the reason the collection is six pieces and not sixty, and the reason each one takes a few days before it ships.
